Drop-In Clinic

You may be seen in the Drop-In Clinic. As these are not scheduled appointments, during peak times the wait may be up to two hours.

Planning for Your Appointment

If this is the first visit, please bring any medications you or the patient are currently taking. If the patient is a child (under 18 years), bring their available medical reports and immunization records and make sure that they are accompanied by a guardian.

Walk-In Care Clinic

The Dhahran Walk-In Care Clinic is available to patients who have medical conditions that cannot wait for regular clinic hours.

Cases are prioritized according to the screening assessment and during peak times the wait may be up to two hours.

Nurse Care Line

The Nurse Care Line provides consultation and assistance to patients and their families regarding healthcare information, home care and navigation of the JHAH health care system. During the call a plan of care is developed, which includes patient education and advice.

  • Staffed by Arabic and English speaking nurses
  • Open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday through Thursday

Primary Care Pharmacy

You can ask medication questions of your pharmacist in a semi-private, relaxed setting while a robotic medication dispensing system delivers your medication.

Medication refill requests and Medication Management Clinic

Medication Refill

Request a refill for your medication prescription through:

  • The Centralized Contact Center (CCC)
  • Medication Management Clinic
  • MyChart – schedule and manage your medications online, from any location

Medication Management Clinic (MMC)

The Medication Management Clinic (MMC) is operational from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and can process:

  • Medication order extensions
  • Telephone requests for medication renewal

Patient Refferal to MMC

Patients will be referred to the MMC as follows:

  • Patients who visit the Primary Care Service for the purpose of medication/prescription renewal
  • Patients who visit the pharmacy for medication refills, however his/her prescription is expired or has no more refills and requires renewal

Primary Care Immunization Room

An Adult & Pediatric Immunization Room is located near the pharmacy and main reception.

The Immunization Room includes eight immunization cubicles, a preparation room and a comfortable waiting area.

Sarcopenia Clinic

Sarcopenia is a disease associated with aging that causes a progressive loss of muscle mass and function. Symptoms include physical slowness and weakness with or without weight loss.

If you are between 50-70 years of age and interested in early detection and prevention, make an appointment with the Primary Care Sarcopenia Clinic at the Main Reception in Primary Care Building 50 or call the Centralized Contact Center (CCC).

Patient Relations & Medical Liaison Office

Patient Relations provides multilingual staff to assist registered patients with their health care-related concerns.

The Medical Liaison Office offers assistance with obtaining copies of patient information, records, blood group certificate and immunization certificate.

A children’s play area (ages 2-6) is conveniently located near the Primary Care Pharmacy and Immunization Room and provides seating just outside to relax.

Health Education Referrals

This service is through referral by physician, care coordinators, nurses and pharmacists. Patients may self-refer by booking an appointment in the Primary Care Clinic main reception or by calling the Centralized Contact Center.

The team of Dhahran Diabetic Educators and Outpatient Case Managers includes:

  • Diabetic Case Manager
  • Life Style and Obesity Case Manager
  • Foot and Wound Case Manager
  • Pediatric and Insulin Pump Case Manager
  • Endocrinology Case Manager
  • OB/GYN Case Manager

Medical Interpreters

The Medical Interpreters offer Arabic translation for patients. If you require a Healthcare Interpreter, please ask at the reception desk, or speak to a nurse. Saturday to Wednesday, 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
