Dr. Shabab Alghamdi has led a distinguished career across healthcare. With his background as a Canadian certified family physician, he has developed exceptional experience in a number of areas including the emerging Value Based Healthcare models. Now leading the evolution of insurance in Saudi Arabic as Secretary General of the Council of Health Insurance, his experience includes developing the General Administration for the Procurement of Health Services at the Saudi Ministry of Health (MoH), including the first unified system to deliver healthcare services to Saudi citizens at private hospitals, working as advisor to the Deputy Minister at the Saudi MoH. Beyond healthcare, Dr. Alghamdi held a number of key managerial positions in Saudi Aramco between 1998 – 2015 including being part of the team initiating and developing Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare.
