Dr. Allen Chen is a practicing pediatric bone marrow transplant physician who has focused on improving patient safety throughout his career. A member of the Clinical Systems Advisory Committee, he has been involved in the selection and functional specification of the EMR systems. Since 2015, he has served in the role of Health IT Patient Safety Officer for Johns Hopkins Medicine, working to foster a culture of safety within the IT project team - promoting not only the safe use of health IT but also the use of health IT to improve patient safety.
Dr. Chen will be speaking at JHAH’s 2022 International Quality and Patient Safety Symposium “The impact of Quality & Patient Safety in Transforming Healthcare”, which will be held on March 20-21.
