Dr. Jean Jacques De Gorter is the Chief of Staff at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH), bringing over 20 years of healthcare management and leadership experience. He qualified from Imperial College London in 1993. A medical doctor by training, with experience in Emergency Medicine and Primary Care in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, he assumed his current role in 2021. Dr. de Gorter leads JHAH’s five-year Clinical Services Plan, which is driving transformative improvements in operational productivity, financial sustainability, service integration, and customer access.

Before joining JHAH, Dr. de Gorter served as Chief Medical Officer of Spire Healthcare (UK) for 15 years, including overseeing a successful IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2014. He led the Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health operations, as well as Laboratory, Radiology, and Pharmacy functions. Under his leadership, the organization grew both organically and through acquisitions, expanding from a network of 25 to 39 hospitals and 10 clinics, including ambulatory cancer centers.
