Dr. Alshamsan is a senior advisor for the Health Sector Transformation Program, where he led the development of the value and cost strategy for the sector. Prior to joining the program, Dr. Riyadh was part of the founding team for the Centre for National Health Insurance, where he led the strategy development for the center. Before that, Dr. Riyadh served as the Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economy and Planning. He also led the Health Systems and Quality Management Master’s Program and held the position of Assistant Professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences.
Dr. Riyadh holds a PhD in Public Health from Imperial College London and a Master’s in International Health Management from Imperial College Business School. He is a MiSK 2030 Leaders Fellow and a winner of the British Chevening Scholarship Award.
