Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) Second in Kingdom to Achieve The ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Certification
November 2022 – JHAH achieved the ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification with honors, one of only two organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and one of five in all of Asia to receive this prestigious recognition. Compliance with CIMS demonstrates that JHAH is structured to deliver consistent and quality housekeeping services.
CIMS was created for facility service provider (FSP) organizations and applies to an organization’s management structure and performance systems and processes. It is a framework to help FSPs develop customer-centered organizations. It is the official standard recognized by the National Guidelines for Asset and Facility Management Guidelines under the Healthcare Housekeeping Services chapter.
CIMS certification comprises of five management best practices: quality systems, service delivery, human resources, health, safety, and environmental stewardship and management commitment.
Achieving the ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard Certification involved a great deal of planning, adjustment, compliance, reviews, and training. While achieving the certification was the end goal, the process to get there proved challenging. It encouraged our teams to further improve our housekeeping services and operations to better serve the people we care for. Congratulations to our entire housekeeping team, we are very proud of your achievements.
